Our Meeting Last Night…

… went amazingly well! Praise God for that! 😀 We had eight girls total, including Hannah and I.

First, we discussed several attributes from this list and looked up the corresponding verses. We had lots of thoughts and ideas and stories for these things, so that ended up being most of our meeting. 🙂 We talked about knowledge and wisdom, femininity, modesty, submission, contentment, joy, and a whole bunch of other topics.

We then went into the Library room, where we had a circle of chairs set up and some candles, along with a cross. Cheryl did an awesome job setting that all up!! We all sat down there and talked about how we can prepare a sacred sanctuary (kind of like the room we were in) in our hearts by taking out the “trash” (sin) and by kicking out the “other lovers. (Things and people who have taken precedence over God in our hearts.) We then talked about several ways we can “fall in love with Jesus” from the book “Before You Meet Prince Charming” (which is a must read, by the way…). We also talked about our “homework” assignment, which is to spend time praying and asking God to show you what areas you need to confess and repent of, and also to begin recognizing things/people/activities that have become idols and putting them back in their proper place, and also to spend time worshiping and thanking God.

Then we then had tea and cookies:

Me pouring tea and Hannie watching me.

We had a lot of fun talking about project ideas for our group… and other random things. 😉

And we laughed a lot, too. 😀

There you have it, a very shorted version of our meeting last night. 🙂 Thank you girls for coming and participating so wholeheartedly! See you all (younger girls too!) next Tuesday!!
