First, the news: Bright Lights is CANCELED for this next Monday. (April 18th)
Our family is going to the Gregg Harris (Households of Strength) seminar today and tomorrow, so we won’t have much time to prepare. Also, there are a few activities at church that evening that we were not aware of until just two days ago. Very sorry for the short notice… And we will miss seeing you all. We will still be having it on April 25th.
Okay, now for the fun part: pictures!! 😀
To start off, we spent some time visiting in Audrey’s room and playing some games.
Here is Heidi demonstrating the “mosquito” sticker game we played… 😉
Here we are playing “pencils”. (aka spoons) And the stickers all over our backs are a result of the game I mentioned.
So yes, this was staged… 😉
Suki and I had fun spinning in our twirly skirts. 😀
We ate our supper (which was generously provided by Mrs. Beers!) outside near their dock. 🙂
And we sat on their boat…
Then everyone got on and we took a group picture. 🙂 Sadly Ellen and Patricia weren’t there yet, so they didn’t get to be in this picture. 😦
While we were on the boat, we talked about our Bright Lights projects that we are working on, and we got some things decided and some steps assigned. 🙂
We had a great time playing Big Dutch Blitz. 😀
This is the most active “card” game ever… I never knew you could be sore from a card game until I played this. 😀
Yay for twirly skirts!! 😀
This is us doing the Virginia Reel… lots of fun and great exercise. 😀
I just think this picture looks cool… 🙂
Here we are curtsying…
Audrey has some hoop skirts, which she kindly allowed girls to try on… here’s Patricia!
And here’s Suki, the high-tech old-fashioned girl… 😉
Yes, we actually did sleep… for a few hours. 😛 Here’s most of us out on their lanai… we could see the sunrise from our beds! 😀
After breakfast, we spent some time singing together… Cierra kindly played guitar for us!
And here we are from the other side…
After that, we all did each other’s hair…
At the same time. 😀
Here’s another angle…
And… that pretty much sums it up! We had a lovely time! A big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Beers for hosting us, for the parents who let their girls come, and for all you girls making it an awesome evening! 😀
We missed you, Hannie! 😦 And see? We did take lots of pictures for you… 😉
